Mysuru MLA S R Srinivas has issued strong directives to officials to take stringent measures against drug use and drug peddlers in the region. He emphasized the need for immediate and decisive action to curb the growing menace of drugs.
Meeting at Zilla Panchayat
Srinivas was presiding over a meeting of the committee at the Abdul Nazeer Sab Hall of the Zilla Panchayat in Mysuru on Wednesday. During the meeting, he reviewed the current situation regarding drug abuse and illegal drug trade in the district.
Key Directives
- Strict Enforcement: The MLA instructed law enforcement agencies to intensify patrolling and surveillance in areas identified as drug hotspots.
- Legal Action: He called for swift legal proceedings against those involved in drug peddling, ensuring that cases are processed without delay.
