CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Directs BJP Cadre to Counter Congress Narrative Ahead of 2-Year Milestone
Rajasthan CM Sharma Orders BJP Outreach Against Congress

In a strategic move ahead of its second-anniversary celebrations, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has issued a clear directive to the state's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit. On Sunday, he instructed newly appointed party office-bearers to initiate a widespread public outreach campaign designed to counter what he termed as Congress propaganda.

Mobilising the Party for a Publicity Blitz

Addressing functionaries at the state BJP headquarters in Jaipur, CM Sharma laid out the party's agenda. He emphasised the need to extensively publicise the welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, and administrative reforms implemented by his government over the past two years. The completion of this two-year term is scheduled to be celebrated on December 11.

Sharma specifically pointed the campaign focus towards rural areas, which are central to the party's current mobilisation strategy. He cautioned the cadre that the opposition would attempt to mislead the public and stressed the importance of proactively presenting the government's record.

Sharp Criticism of the Previous Congress Regime

In his address, the Chief Minister launched a vigorous attack on the previous Congress administration led by Ashok Gehlot. He claimed that the BJP government had achieved in two years what the Congress could not deliver in five. "When asked to present their record, senior Congress leaders—including former CM Ashok Gehlot, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully—have no answers," Sharma stated.

He reiterated serious allegations against the Gehlot government, accusing it of ruining the future of thousands of youths through large-scale paper leaks. Sharma also charged the Congress with making false promises during elections. Furthermore, he alleged that the previous administration arbitrarily created wards, panchayats, and districts "based on appeasement," contrasting it with his government's reorganisation which he claimed was done strictly on factual and administrative merit.

Finalising Plans for Pravasi Rajasthan Diwas

Later on Sunday, the Chief Minister held a separate meeting at his residence with all BJP MLAs and former MLAs from the state. The purpose of this gathering was to finalise responsibilities for the upcoming Pravasi Rajasthan Diwas event, which is set to take place on December 10, just a day before the government's anniversary celebrations.

This twin-pronged approach—a public outreach campaign coupled with a high-profile non-resident Indian event—highlights the BJP's concerted effort to consolidate its position and showcase its governance model as the state government approaches the two-year mark.
