In a tragic development, rescue teams on Monday called off the search operation for a four-year-old boy who slipped into the Ganga canal at Daularajpur village in Dankaur, Noida. The incident occurred around 7 pm on Friday when Adnan was playing near the edge of the canal, approximately 200 meters away from his home. Munendra Singh, the in-charge of Dankaur police station, stated that specialized teams conducted an intensive three-day operation. Divers meticulously searched several kilometers downstream, coordinating closely with irrigation authorities to manage water flow and access. The operation faced significant challenges due to the canal's strong current and considerable depth, which hampered visibility and movement.
