Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has embarked on a crucial visit to the national capital, aiming to fast-track developmental projects in the state. The visit follows the conclusion of the two-day collectors' conference in Amaravati.
High-Stakes Meetings with Central Leadership
On Friday, the Chief Minister is scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with six key Union ministers. The agenda is centered on securing additional financial support and expediting approvals for major infrastructure and welfare projects.
The ministers he will meet include Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Discussions with them are expected to focus on the state's financial requirements and central assistance.
Project-Specific Discussions on the Agenda
Naidu will meet other ministers to discuss sector-specific initiatives. With Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, talks will revolve around national highway development in Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, meetings are planned with Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil on the Polavaram project and the proposed Nallamala Sagar link project. With Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the CM will discuss the growth of petrochemical industries and port development, respectively.
The Chief Minister is seeking to prioritize these projects, highlighting their strategic importance not just for the state but for contributing to the national GDP.
Packed Schedule Upon Return to Andhra
Naidu is set to return to Amaravati on Friday night. His schedule for Saturday remains equally busy with public engagements in the Anakapalli district.
He will participate in the monthly 'Swarna Andhra-Swachha Andhra' program, held every third Saturday. Additionally, he is scheduled to unveil a bronze statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Anakapalli.
The day will also include a Praja Vedika meeting and an interaction with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadres in Tallapalem village, underscoring the political outreach accompanying the administrative push.
