Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar on Wednesday alleged that the Karnataka state government is deliberately delaying the handover of land for artificial intelligence companies in Mysuru. Speaking to reporters, he claimed that these companies are willing to pay the market rate for the land, but the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) and other government agencies are not processing the allotment swiftly. “Neither in acquisition of land nor in allotment of industrial sites, this government is working speedily. It is not business-friendly,” he asserted.
Price Rise and Economic Policies
Yaduveer, while highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the longest-serving PM of India, blamed the state government for the rising prices of essential commodities. “Rates of petroleum products, electrical goods, and essential commodities like milk are higher in Karnataka compared to other states. Amid global conflicts, the central government successfully controlled inflation through innovative initiatives. However, due to the state’s poor economic policies, people are facing the brunt of price rise,” he said.
Centre-State Relations
Responding to the Congress party’s allegation that the Union government is treating Karnataka unfairly, Yaduveer questioned the seriousness of the state government in seeking central support. “During the Lok Sabha session, I observed the Telangana Chief Minister interacting with state MPs thrice on matters of state interest. In contrast, former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah never called on state MPs or discussed any issues. He never attended GST Council or NITI Aayog meetings, nor did he send representatives. I hope the new Chief Minister will change this approach,” Yaduveer remarked. He added that blaming the Centre for his own shortcomings was Siddaramaiah’s strategy, which he employed during his first term as well.
Communal Allegations and Criticism of Home Minister
The MP further alleged that under Congress rule, communal forces are targeting Hindus in Karnataka. “In West Bengal, people taught a lesson to a communal government. Similar tactics are being used here,” he warned. Yaduveer also slammed state Home Minister Priyank Kharge for repeatedly targeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “The RSS has a glorious history of 100 years, and we must all be thankful to the organization for its service to mankind, society, and culture,” he said.
