Simplified Permits for Private Celebrations
The new norms offer a straightforward and affordable path for residents planning private gatherings. For an event at a private or self-owned premises, individuals can now secure a one-day liquor licence for just Rs 500. This online process eliminates the traditional bureaucratic hurdles, allowing hosts to focus on their festivities without legal concerns.
Licence Fees for Public Venues
The guidelines differentiate between types of public venues, with varying fee structures. For events at locations like marriage gardens or community halls that lack lodging facilities, a one-day foreign liquor licence will cost Rs 5,000.
For celebrations at established commercial spaces such as hotels and restaurants that offer lodging, boarding, and regular food service, the fee for a one-day special date licence is set at Rs 10,000.
