MLA Rajeshwar Singh Unveils Major Development Projects on Fourth Anniversary
In Lucknow, marking four years of dedicated public service in the Sarojininagar Assembly constituency, MLA Rajeshwar Singh inaugurated a comprehensive series of development and welfare initiatives on Tuesday. The launch took place during an 'Aabhar Diwas' program held at his residence in Aashiyana, which also coincided with his birthday celebration.
Large-Scale Public Participation
The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 10,000 residents, party workers, and supporters in attendance, highlighting the widespread community engagement and support for the MLA's efforts.
Expansion of Digital Education Centers
Singh inaugurated three new Ran Bahadur Singh (RBS) digital education and youth empowerment centres. This addition brings the total number of such centres in the constituency to 17. These facilities are designed to offer:
- Free computer education
- Digital skills training
- AI-based learning modules
- Job-oriented courses for youth
The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance employability among young residents.
Women's Empowerment Through Sewing Centers
To promote women's self-reliance, Singh announced the opening of 10 Tara Shakti sewing centres. This expansion adds to the existing network, with 162 centres already established across the constituency. Through these centres, more than 1,700 sewing machines have been distributed to women, empowering them with vocational skills and economic independence.
Student Recognition and Support
Under the Medhavi Samman programme, Singh recognized academic excellence by awarding:
- 25 meritorious students with laptops
- 50 students with bicycles
This initiative encourages educational achievement and provides practical support to students in need.
Road Safety and Environmental Initiatives
Singh launched the "Safe Sarojininagar" road safety campaign, distributing 1,000 helmets among youth and volunteers to promote safer commuting practices. Additionally, a plantation drive was initiated with the planting of Kadamba saplings, contributing to environmental sustainability. He also announced the installation of five handpumps in temples across the constituency to improve access to clean water.
