A powerful display of civic participation unfolded in Chittapur town, Kalaburagi district, as members of the Samvidhana Rakshana Samithi organized a massive 'Bheemanade' march past on Monday. The event served as a direct response to a march past conducted by the RSS in the same town just days earlier, on November 16.
A Delayed Start but a Powerful Statement
The march, which was originally scheduled to commence at 11:30 AM, eventually got underway at 2:40 PM. Despite the delay, the turnout was significant and the message was clear. The procession was dedicated to praising the Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, with participants raising slogans in his honor throughout the route.
Disciplined Procession and Overwhelming Public Support
The visual spectacle of the march was striking. Men dressed in khaki trousers, white shirts, and distinctive blue caps marched in a disciplined formation through the heart of Chittapur city. They were accompanied by a strong contingent of 600 women, making the total participant count a formidable force. The event captivated the local populace, with thousands of people lining both sides of the route to witness the procession. Many among them offered a floral welcome to the marchers, showcasing widespread community engagement.

The march past traced a significant path through the town's key landmarks. It began its journey from the Bajaj Convention Hall, proceeded through the Basaveshwar Circle, passed by the Bus Stand and the Tahshil Office, and finally concluded back at its starting point, the Bajaj Convention Hall. Anticipating the large gathering, the local police authorities made comprehensive arrangements, providing tight security throughout the event to ensure it proceeded peacefully and without incident.
