Mahadevappa Dismisses BJP-JD(S) Alliance Impact, Assures Congress Stability
Mahadevappa: BJP-JD(S) Alliance Won't Affect Congress

Mahadevappa Confident Congress Unaffected by Opposition Alliance

District Minister H C Mahadevappa expressed strong confidence on Saturday. He declared the BJP-JD(S) alliance in upcoming local body elections will have zero impact on Congress. Mahadevappa made these remarks while speaking to reporters in Mysuru.

No Change Beyond Formal Alliance

Mahadevappa pointed out a key difference in the current political scenario. He noted that in previous elections, both BJP and JD(S) maintained an unofficial understanding. This time, they formed an official alliance. Beyond this, there is no change, Mahadevappa asserted. He emphasized this development will not affect Congress in any way.

Reaffirming Political Stability

The minister strongly reiterated political stability within the state. He confirmed Siddaramaiah will continue serving as chief minister until 2028. Mahadevappa criticized the BJP for what he described as waiting endlessly for something to happen. He added the party never came to power with an absolute majority. When nothing materialises, they console themselves, saying the grapes are sour, Mahadevappa commented. He stated this episode is no different from previous patterns.

Dismissing Speculation About Delhi Visit

Mahadevappa addressed speculation surrounding KPCC president and deputy CM DK Shivakumar's visit to Delhi. He completely dismissed any political significance attached to the trip. Mahadevappa clarified Shivakumar travelled in his capacity as an observer for the Assam assembly elections. There is no special meaning to be read into it, he said regarding the Delhi visit.

Commenting on Ballari Protest Rally

Responding to BJP's protest rally in Ballari, Mahadevappa provided his perspective. He said the incident stemmed from a confrontation between two people's representatives. Mahadevappa stressed that public representatives must act responsibly. Actions that disrupt law and order or inconvenience the public are unacceptable, he stated firmly.

Mahadevappa's statements reflect Congress's position heading into the local body elections. He presented a united front while addressing multiple current political developments.
