BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of internal conspiracies, leadership failures, and governance collapse. He asserted that the Congress party is solely responsible for the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination and questioned why leaders are dragging political opponents into the issue.
KTR demands SIT probe
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, KTR demanded that the Congress leadership investigate who within the party leaked details related to cases against Meenakshi Natarajan and supplied information to BJP leaders. He remarked, “If the Chief Minister is so fond of constituting Special Investigation Teams, he should order an SIT probe into this matter as well.”
Internal betrayals exposed
KTR stated that Congress leaders themselves know who betrayed the party and worked against Meenakshi Natarajan. He urged Rahul Gandhi to identify the “black sheep” within the Congress who are undermining the party from within. He emphasized that the issue is entirely the result of internal betrayals and factional politics.
BRS confident of return to power
KTR expressed confidence that the BRS will return to power with a strong majority in the next elections. He claimed that multiple surveys indicate growing public dissatisfaction with the Congress government and increasing support for BRS. “Congress is steadily losing public confidence because of governance failures and unfulfilled guarantees,” he said.
BRS to contest independently
KTR clarified that the BRS would contest future elections independently and does not foresee electoral alliances. He said the party has undertaken introspection following the previous election and is addressing shortcomings identified by the public. “The party leadership and cadre are committed to rebuilding trust and ensuring that past mistakes are not repeated,” the BRS leader added.
