BRS Leader KTR Accuses Congress Government of Failing Job Promises in Telangana

In a sharp critique of the Congress administration in Telangana, BRS working president KT Rama Rao has leveled serious allegations regarding unfulfilled employment commitments. Speaking from Hyderabad, KTR asserted that the government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has completely stalled recruitment processes, despite earlier pledges to generate substantial job opportunities.

Broken Promises on Employment Front

KTR highlighted that the Congress government had specifically promised to fill two lakh positions within their first year of governance. However, he claimed this commitment remains largely unmet, causing widespread disappointment among the state's youth. The BRS leader emphasized that unemployed individuals and their families are expressing growing frustration over the administration's failure to issue notifications for even 10,000 new jobs.

He further pointed out that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently participated in a photo opportunity while distributing appointment letters for 65,000 jobs. KTR clarified that these positions were actually filled during the previous BRS regime, accusing the current government of misleading the public about their own recruitment achievements.

Allegations of Broader Betrayal

Expanding his criticism beyond employment issues, KTR alleged that the Congress government has deceived multiple segments of Telangana society. He referenced the Rythu Bharosa scheme, claiming that 70 lakh farmers have been deprived of financial support due to withheld payments. According to his statement, this represents a significant reversal from the dignity farmers experienced during KCR's administration, potentially pushing many into debt.

The BRS working president also mentioned unfulfilled promises to women voters, noting that despite assurances of Rs 2,500 payments to every woman, not a single beneficiary has received this amount after two years of Congress rule. This has reportedly generated considerable anger among women across the state.

Strong Words on Accountability

KTR delivered particularly stern remarks regarding accountability for what he termed "false promises" to the unemployed. He stated that even if the chief minister were to apologize for misleading youth about job opportunities, such gestures would be insufficient. The BRS leader vowed to persistently challenge the Congress government over what he described as a betrayal of students and job seekers.

He concluded by asserting that while voices that made deceptive promises may have fallen silent over the past two years, the consequences of those actions would not be forgotten. KTR stressed the political responsibility to support unemployed individuals and youth, indicating this would remain a focal point of opposition criticism moving forward.
