Hyderabad BMW Crash: Speeding Car Rams Truck, Catches Fire on Flyover
A serious road accident occurred in Hyderabad in the early hours of Monday when a speeding BMW car crashed into a goods vehicle and burst into flames on the Bairamalguda flyover in LB Nagar. The incident left the 24-year-old driver with serious injuries while two other occupants managed to escape unharmed.
Details of the Early Morning Crash
The accident took place around 1:30 AM when Sai Keerthan Reddy, a businessman from Rock Town Colony, was driving his BMW car toward LB Nagar. According to police reports, Reddy was driving in a rash and negligent manner when his vehicle rammed into the rear of a DCM truck that was carrying coal.
The impact of the collision was severe enough to send the luxury car out of control. The BMW subsequently hit the flyover railing and immediately caught fire. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames within minutes of the crash.
Miraculous Escape for Occupants
Despite the violent collision and subsequent fire, all three occupants of the BMW managed to rush out of the vehicle before it was completely consumed by flames. This timely escape likely prevented what could have been a fatal outcome.
Local residents who witnessed the accident quickly alerted both the police and fire department. Emergency responders including firefighters and Disaster Response Force personnel reached the spot promptly and worked to douse the blaze.
Police Investigation Underway
LB Nagar circle inspector Vinod Kumar confirmed that there were no fatalities in the incident. The driver, Sai Keerthan Reddy, sustained a head injury and was shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment. His two companions escaped without any physical injuries.
A case has been registered regarding the accident, and further investigation is currently underway. Police officials noted that by the time they arrived at the scene, the injured driver had already been transported to the hospital. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol consumption played a role in the crash, though this remains unclear at present.
Vehicle Completely Gutted
The BMW car involved in the accident was completely destroyed by the fire. Photographs from the scene show the luxury vehicle reduced to a charred shell, highlighting the intensity of the blaze that followed the collision.
