Haryana CM Announces Plots for 7,000 Landless Families

In a significant push for social welfare and development, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled a comprehensive package of housing, employment, and governance initiatives during his visit to the Ladwa constituency in Kurukshetra on Saturday. The announcements, made across multiple village gatherings, are set to benefit thousands of families and strengthen the state's public service delivery.

Housing and Development Boost for Villages

The flagship announcement involved the allotment of 100-square-yard residential plots to 7,000 landless and needy families across Haryana. These beneficiaries will also be integrated with the central Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to receive financial aid for constructing their homes. Highlighting previous successes, the CM noted that under the Chief Minister Urban Housing Scheme, approximately 15,500 families have already received 30-square-yard plots, with eligible applicants slated to get a second instalment for an additional 30-square-yard plot soon.

During thanksgiving programs in villages Prahladpur, Badarpur, Bani, Budha, and Bapdi, CM Saini personally addressed local grievances and sanctioned crores for development works. He announced ₹21 lakh each for development in Prahladpur, Badarpur, and Bani. Specifically for Prahladpur, he sanctioned ₹47.46 lakh for drinking water pipelines and ₹11 lakh for a community hall. In Badarpur, ₹43.31 lakh was approved for water supply pipelines. Similar assurances were given for village Bani, with the CM directing officials to resolve complaints on the spot.

Employment, Youth, and Anti-Corruption Reforms

Addressing the youth, CM Saini declared that the state government would shortly issue new recruitment notifications for various posts. He proudly stated that 25,000 youths have been given government jobs purely on merit in Haryana, fulfilling a pre-oath promise made in the election manifesto. On governance, he detailed major anti-corruption reforms in land registration, making the process fully online with fixed timelines. He warned that if a tehsildar fails without valid reason, responsibility would shift to senior officials for action.

The CM assured that there would be no fund shortage for development in Ladwa and emphasized that citizens need not travel to Chandigarh as grievance redressal camps are held regularly locally.

Wide-Ranging Social Welfare and Empowerment Schemes

CM Saini outlined several ongoing welfare schemes. He highlighted that free dialysis services are now available in all government hospitals, medical colleges, and health universities. For women's empowerment, he pointed to the Lado Laxmi Yojana, which provides ₹2,100 per month and has already benefited 10 lakh women. He expanded eligibility, allowing women from families with an income up to ₹1.40 lakh to apply via a mobile app, receiving 3,000–4,000 applications daily.

Furthermore, women from families with an annual income below ₹1.80 lakh are getting LPG cylinders for ₹500, a scheme benefiting around 15 lakh women. On agriculture, Saini stated Haryana became the first state to implement Minimum Support Price (MSP) on all 24 crops. He informed that farmers affected by recent waterlogging were compensated with ₹116 crore, while ₹430 crore was transferred under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana for market losses. He also announced that families living in houses on panchayat land would be given ownership rights at 2004 collector rates.

Later, addressing gatherings in Budha and Bapdi villages, the CM announced ₹21 lakh each for development and an additional ₹32.27 lakh for water pipelines in Bapdi.
