"The Bailey bridge is a major bottleneck, leading to long delays and safety concerns, but Ganesh Joshi has completely failed to address this urgent issue and build a new, permanent bridge," Gupta stated during the protest.

Despite the Public Works Department (PWD) having prepared a detailed project report for the new bridge, construction has not yet commenced. This delay has fueled frustration among the community, with Congress leaders warning of further action if the government does not respond promptly.

Congress leader Godavari Thapli issued a stern warning, declaring that the party would take matters into its own hands if the government fails to act within two months. "If the state government continues to neglect this critical infrastructure need, we will raise public funds and initiate the construction ourselves to ensure the bridge is built without further delay," Thapli announced, highlighting the party's commitment to resolving the issue.
