Chandigarh BJP president Jitendra Pal Malhotra spoke to the assembled crowd. He stated firmly that the party would never accept any form of intimidation politics targeting women.
Former state president Sanjay Tandon also addressed the protesters. He explained that this issue goes beyond one family or a single municipal ward.
Tandon described the situation as a serious concern for societal safety and the rule of law. He issued a warning about potential escalation if proper accountability is not established.
