In a decisive mandate, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Pradyut Bordoloi clinched the Dispur assembly constituency in Assam, polling 1,03,337 votes. He defeated Congress contender Mira Borthakur Goswami by a margin of 49,667 votes. Independent candidate Jayanta Kumar Das finished third with 22,802 votes.

Voting for all 126 assembly constituencies in Assam took place on April 9, with a turnout exceeding 85 percent—one of the highest in recent years. In the 2021 assembly elections, BJP's Atul Bora won the Dispur seat decisively with 1,98,378 votes (71.14 percent share), defeating Congress's Akon Bora by a margin of 68,181 votes. Atul Bora had also won the seat in 2016, reclaiming it from the Congress party's hold prior to that year.
