BJP Observes 47th Foundation Day with Statewide Celebrations in Chhattisgarh
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) commemorated its 47th foundation day on Monday with extensive celebrations across the state of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that the party's remarkable ascent to becoming the world's largest political organization is a direct result of the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of its dedicated cadre.
Flag Hoisting and Tributes at Party Headquarters
At the state BJP headquarters, known as Kushabhau Thakre Parisar in Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai performed the ceremonial hoisting of the party flag. He also paid floral tributes to the party's founding ideologues and key leaders who have shaped its journey over the decades.
Addressing a gathering of party workers, Sai highlighted the foundational principles of the BJP, which was established on April 6, 1980. He stated that the party is built on a solid framework of ideals and values, distinguishing it as an organization that does not revolve around any single family, caste, or social class.
Recognition of Cadre Efforts and Sacrifices
Sai credited the BJP's phenomenal growth and its status as the world's largest political party to the relentless hard work of its grassroots workers and the significant sacrifices made by its founding leaders. He referred to the party workers as "devtulya" (god-like), praising their exceptional dedication and strict discipline.
According to Sai, this unwavering commitment has not only propelled the BJP to become the dominant political force in India but has also played a crucial role in steering Chhattisgarh steadily along the path of comprehensive development and progress.
Double-Engine Government and Development Focus
The Chief Minister further elaborated on the advantages of the double-engine government in Chhattisgarh, where the same party holds power at both the state and central levels. He asserted that this synchronized governance structure would significantly accelerate the pace of development across the state.
A key area of focus highlighted by Sai is the ongoing drive to eliminate Naxalism. He expressed confidence that the double-engine government would enhance efforts in this critical sector, ensuring greater security and fostering development in affected regions.
State Leadership Extends Greetings and Praise
Meanwhile, state BJP president Kiran Dev participated in the foundation day celebrations by hoisting the party flag at the district office in Jagdalpur. He extended warm greetings to all party workers on this significant occasion.
Dev echoed the sentiments of the Chief Minister, emphasizing that every BJP worker is characterized by their hardworking nature and deep commitment to the party's cause. He attributed the party's global stature as the largest political organization to the immense strength and resilience of its grassroots cadre.
Statewide Observance and Week-Long Programs
As part of the foundation day observance, flag-hoisting ceremonies were conducted at all district offices across Chhattisgarh. The BJP has organized a series of programs and events scheduled from April 6 to April 12 throughout the state to mark this important milestone.
These activities are designed to reinforce party unity, celebrate achievements, and outline future goals, reflecting the BJP's continued emphasis on organizational strength and public engagement in Chhattisgarh.
