In a bold declaration, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak has confidently predicted that his party will retain power with an absolute majority in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh state assembly elections. Pathak made these remarks during a visit to Prayagraj on Friday, where he attended a public function and addressed the media.
Opposition Tactics Deemed Ineffective
While speaking to reporters, Pathak emphasized that the strategies employed by opposition parties, such as the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP), to deceive the public would no longer yield results. "The BJP will win again in 2027 with a landslide victory," he stated firmly. "As for the opposition parties, they have deceived the public all along, but their tactics will not work anymore."
He further criticized the previous SP administrations, highlighting that during their rule, which spanned four opportunities to govern the state, goons and mafias were dominant. "There was mafia rule everywhere, but the situation has changed now," Pathak asserted, contrasting it with the current BJP-led government's efforts to restore law and order.
