Bihar Deputy CM's Viral Outburst Against Bodyguard

Bihar's political landscape has been rocked by a fresh controversy involving Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, who was caught on camera publicly reprimanding his own security personnel. A video that rapidly spread across social media platforms shows the senior BJP leader expressing extreme displeasure with a bodyguard assigned to protect him.

In the widely circulated clip, Sinha is seen complaining over the phone about the utility of having a security guard who allegedly cannot operate his firearm properly. The incident occurred shortly after RJD supporters surrounded Sinha's vehicle in Khoriari village on Saturday, pelting it with stones and slippers while chanting slogans against him.

Bulldozer Threat and Election Commission's Response

The controversy deepened when Sinha made inflammatory remarks threatening to use bulldozers against the protesters. "Satta mein aa rahi hai NDA isliye inke chhati pe bulldozer chalega" (The NDA is coming to power, hence bulldozers will be run over their chests), the Deputy CM told ANI, referring to the RJD workers who blocked his car.

The Election Commission of India reacted strongly to the entire episode. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar directed the Bihar Director General of Police to take appropriate action against those involved in the stone-pelting incident. The ECI emphasized that strict measures would be taken against miscreants and warned that no one would be permitted to take law into their own hands, though the commission remained silent on Sinha's bulldozer comments.

Ongoing Political Clashes and Election Context

This incident represents the latest in a series of confrontations involving the Deputy CM. Earlier this week, another viral video captured Sinha engaged in a heated argument with RJD Member of Legislative Council Ajay Singh. Sinha had accused Singh of creating disturbances under the influence of alcohol, but a subsequent breath analyzer test cleared the RJD leader of these allegations.

RJD spokesperson Priyanka Bharti seized on this development, questioning whether Sinha would surrender himself for what she termed "sister insults and threats of running a bulldozer."

The political tensions unfold against the backdrop of the ongoing Bihar assembly elections. The first phase of voting concluded on Thursday across 121 seats in 18 districts, with the fate of several prominent leaders including Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav hanging in the balance. The second and final phase of polling is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, with results expected on Friday, November 14.
