Massive Distribution Drive Underway

The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has distributed approximately 38.8 lakh voter verification forms across the city, according to Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao. Speaking to reporters, Rao confirmed that the authority is setting up voter facilitation centres to assist residents in filling out the enumeration forms.

Facilitation Centres to Aid Voters

Rao stated that the facilitation centres would be established at strategic locations to ensure that voters can easily access help with the forms. The initiative aims to streamline the voter verification process and ensure accurate data collection ahead of upcoming elections.

“We are committed to making the process as smooth as possible for Bengaluru’s residents,” Rao said. The forms are part of a broader effort to update and verify the electoral roll.

Background and Impact

Bengaluru, with its large and diverse population, requires meticulous voter enumeration. The distribution of 38.8 lakh forms marks a significant step in ensuring every eligible voter is registered correctly. The GBA expects the facilitation centres to reduce errors and omissions in the forms.

Rao emphasized that the authority is working closely with local officials to cover all wards. Voters are encouraged to submit their completed forms promptly to avoid last-minute issues.
