Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy to Install 19 New Water Plants Before Sankranti
19 New Drinking Water Plants for Nellore Before Sankranti

In a significant move to address water scarcity, Nellore Member of Parliament Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy has announced a major initiative to provide clean drinking water across his constituency. The VPR Foundation, led by the MP, will establish 19 new safe drinking water plants across the Nellore parliamentary constituency, with a deadline set for completion before the upcoming Sankranti festival.

Inauguration of New Plants Under Amruthadhara Project

The announcement was made alongside the inauguration of new facilities. On Friday, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, accompanied by Telugu Desam Party's Sarvepalli legislator Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and MLC Beeda Ravichandra, officially opened a drinking water plant. This plant, part of the 'Amruthadhara project', is located in Munagaladoruvu village within the Thotapalli Gudur mandal.

Following this, the MP inaugurated another crucial water plant at Ramatheertham village in the Vidavalur mandal. This village falls under the Kovur assembly constituency, highlighting the widespread reach of the initiative.

Foundation's Commitment to Resolving Water Woes

MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy strongly asserted the foundation's dedication to solving the persistent drinking water problems faced by the local population. He highlighted the organization's substantial track record, noting that the VPR Foundation has already successfully set up 170 drinking water plants across the wider Nellore district.

This new pledge to add 19 more plants before Sankranti represents a rapid scaling up of efforts. The focus is clearly on ensuring that more communities gain access to a reliable and safe source of potable water, which is a fundamental need.

Impact and Future Implications

The establishment of these 19 new plants is expected to bring immediate relief to numerous villages and households struggling with water quality and availability. By targeting completion before Sankranti, a major harvest festival, the initiative aims to deliver a tangible benefit during a period of celebration and community gathering.

The consistent work of the VPR Foundation, as cited by the MP, demonstrates a long-term commitment to infrastructure development in the region. This project not only addresses a critical public health issue but also sets a precedent for community-focused development driven by public representatives and their affiliated organizations.
