Woman Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Way to Temple in Ujjain

A 55-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh died in a road accident on Saturday morning while traveling to the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. The incident occurred on Indore Road near Ninora village when the motorcycle she was riding pillion on crashed into a divider.

Victim Identified

The deceased was identified as Rajkumari Sahu, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. According to police, she had recently arrived in Indore to stay with her sister's family and had expressed a strong desire to visit the famous Mahakal temple in Ujjain.

Accident Details

Nanakheda police station in-charge Narendra Yadav stated that Rajkumari was traveling to Ujjain with her nephew Ritik Sahu, who was riding the motorcycle. The accident took place around 7 am near Ninora village on Indore Road. The rider allegedly lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to hit the divider.

Rajkumari, seated on the pillion, sustained severe injuries in the crash. Relatives traveling behind them on another motorcycle witnessed the accident and immediately rushed both Rajkumari and Ritik to a nearby hospital.

Medical Outcome

Doctors declared Rajkumari dead on arrival at the hospital. Ritik, who also sustained injuries, is receiving medical treatment. Following the accident, family members reached Ujjain. Police registered a case, conducted a postmortem examination, and handed over the body to the relatives.
