A tragic incident occurred in Jaipur where a 32-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide along with her eight-year-old son by jumping in front of a train. The mutilated bodies were discovered near the railway track close to Shikarpura gate on Saturday evening.
Discovery and Identification
The matter came to light on Sunday evening when the deceased woman's brother approached Malpura Gate police station to file a missing complaint for his sister and nephew. Police officials stated that prima facie, it appears the woman jumped before the train while holding her son. The bodies were kept at the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital mortuary, and efforts were underway to identify them.
Udaibhan Yadav, SHO of Malpura Gate police station, said, 'As a man came with some photographs to lodge a missing complaint of a woman and a boy, we took him to the mortuary for identification. The deceased were later identified as Ramkanya Bairwa and her son Virendra, residents of Muhana village.'
Allegations of Harassment
The victim's brother has accused her husband and in-laws of harassment, alleging that she was subjected to frequent domestic violence. The police are investigating the circumstances leading to the incident.
