A 60-year-old jeweller was killed in a tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj district late on Wednesday night. The incident occurred near the Shringverpur police station area on the Allahabad-Varanasi highway.
Details of the Accident
The victim, identified as Ramesh Chandra Kesharwani, a resident of the Civil Lines area in Prayagraj, was returning from Varanasi in his SUV when his vehicle collided head-on with a parked truck. The impact of the collision was so severe that Kesharwani died on the spot. His driver, who was also in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving information about the accident, local police from Shringverpur police station reached the spot. They recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. The injured driver was referred to a higher medical facility for specialized care.
