A fresh fire scare hit the D-Park Market in Rohtak on Friday evening when a blaze erupted at a dental clinic on the second floor of a building. The swift action of the fire department averted any major damage, officials said.
Incident Details
The market is still recovering from a devastating fire on June 9 that claimed three lives and destroyed over 10 shops. The latest incident sparked panic among shop owners and residents. According to sources, the clinic owner noticed smoke emanating from the upper portion of the clinic and immediately alerted the fire brigade.
Quick Response
Gulshan Dang, a local trader, stated, 'A fire tender was already stationed at D-Park Market due to leftover flammable material and debris from the June 9 blaze. Firefighters rushed to the clinic and brought the flames under control.' Dang attributed the fire to a short circuit, but some shopkeepers suggested it may have been caused by an air-conditioner compressor catching fire.
No injuries were reported, and the clinic sustained minor damage. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
