A tragic incident occurred in southwest Delhi on Thursday morning when a food delivery agent lost his life after falling from the Dabri flyover. The accident happened when his scooter was allegedly struck by a car, causing him to fall off the flyover. The car driver fled the scene immediately after the incident, according to news agency PTI.

Incident Details

Police received a PCR call at 7:35 am reporting that a person had fallen from the Dabri flyover on Pankha Road and required urgent medical assistance. A police team rushed to the spot and discovered a damaged scooter and a car on the flyover. The scooter rider had sustained severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Victim Identified

The victim has been identified as Rajkumar, a 30-year-old resident of Godda district in Jharkhand. He was working as a delivery executive for a private food delivery service in Delhi. The car involved in the accident bears a Delhi registration number and is registered in the name of a resident of Dabri, police confirmed.

Police Investigation

Senior police officers stated that the body has been preserved in a mortuary, and efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding driver. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and an investigation is in progress to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the accident. Police are examining CCTV footage and gathering evidence to trace the driver.
