Anonymous Call Triggers Evacuation
According to officials, an anonymous call was made to the control room around 10:30 am, claiming that a bomb had been placed inside the municipal corporation building. The caller specifically mentioned the mayor's office as a potential target. Following the alert, security personnel immediately evacuated all staff and visitors from the building.
Search Operations Launched
Teams from the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and dog squads were rushed to the spot. They conducted a comprehensive search of the entire building, including the mayor's chamber, administrative offices, and public areas. The search operation lasted for over two hours, but no suspicious objects or explosives were found.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the source of the call. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the call may have been a hoax, but authorities are not taking any chances. Additional security measures have been put in place around the municipal corporation headquarters.

Gurugram Police Commissioner Kala Ramachandran stated, "We take all threats seriously. The building was evacuated and a thorough search was conducted.
