The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) carried out a demolition drive on Wednesday, removing 43 structures that were obstructing the widening of Bandu Gore Marg outside Goregaon (West) railway station.
Road Widening Project Details
Bandu Gore Marg, situated in the heavily congested area near Goregaon West railway station, is set to be widened to improve traffic flow. The road, originally about 30 feet wide, will be expanded to 44 feet after the rehabilitation and removal of 43 non-residential structures.
Expected Benefits
The widening project is anticipated to provide significant relief to commuters traveling between Goregaon West railway station and Swami Vivekanand Road. By enhancing traffic flow and reducing congestion, the move aims to ease daily travel for thousands of residents.
