A 20-year-old man allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Pipliya Pende Khan under Bag Sewania police station limits on Wednesday. Authorities suspect the act was driven by a one-sided love affair, although no suicide note was discovered at the scene.
Incident Details
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Nitin Thakur, who lived with his father, Ram Singh Thakur, a mason, in Pipliya Pende Khan. Nitin was unemployed. His mother had passed away several years ago, while his elder brother resides with their sister in Chhatarpur.
Father's Account
Ram Singh informed the police that he and his son had dinner together on Tuesday night after preparing food and then went to sleep. When he woke up around 8 am on Wednesday, he found Nitin hanging from the ceiling. He immediately alerted the authorities.
Police Investigation
A police team arrived at the scene, conducted an inspection, and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. During the preliminary investigation, no suicide note was found. However, scrutiny of Nitin's mobile phone and statements from family members revealed that he had been in touch with a young woman from Lalitpur over the phone. Police stated that the two had stopped communicating recently and suspect that Nitin may have been distressed over unreciprocated feelings. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the suicide.
