Smart City Project in Amritsar
The Smart City Project in Amritsar aims to enhance urban infrastructure and public amenities. The installation of ornamental iron grills was part of a larger beautification drive along key corridors. The theft had raised concerns about the security of public property.
A spokesperson for the Amritsar Municipal Corporation stated that they are working closely with the police to prevent such incidents in the future. Additional security measures, including CCTV surveillance, are being considered for project sites.
The recovery has been widely appreciated by local residents and civic activists, who have urged the authorities to ensure the safety of public assets.
