A video of anti-social elements entering the civic pool in Saraspur and creating a nuisance went viral on Sunday night, prompting the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to approach the police and file a complaint of trespass and disturbance against those involved.

Assistant municipal commissioner Tejas Bhandari stated that a section of the pool fencing was broken, allowing anti-social elements to enter the premises. Once inside, they engaged in activities that damaged the facility. A security guard captured the incident on video, which later circulated widely on social media.
AMC Response
The AMC has initiated repairs to the broken fence to prevent further unauthorized access. Additionally, the corporation has written to the police, urging them to take legal action and register a case against the individuals responsible for the trespass and damage.
“Since non-members broke in and damaged the pool, we have written to the police to take legal action and register a case against them,” Bhandari said.
The incident has raised concerns about security at public facilities in the city. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and working to identify the culprits. The AMC has appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activity near civic amenities.
