Sudha Bhardwaj Urges Govt to Curb Inflation, Ease Burden

Panchkula: Former Haryana Mahila Congress president Sudha Bhardwaj has expressed deep concern over the rising inflation, stating that the spiralling prices of LPG, fuel, and essential goods are severely impacting households, particularly women who manage daily expenses.

Impact on Households

In a statement, Bhardwaj, who recently contested the mayoral election unsuccessfully, highlighted that the latest hike in cooking gas prices has further strained family budgets. She emphasised that women are struggling to manage kitchen expenses as food and essential items become costlier, while incomes remain stagnant.

Government's Failure to Control Inflation

Alleging the government's failure to control inflation, Bhardwaj pointed out that rising petrol and diesel prices have driven up transportation costs, thereby pushing up the prices of everyday items. She urged the government to regulate LPG, fuel, and essential commodity prices to provide much-needed relief to the common man.
