NTK Coordinator Seeman Delivers Scathing Critique of Electoral Cash Distribution and Freebie Culture
In a series of campaign rallies across Tamil Nadu, Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) coordinator Seeman launched a forceful condemnation of political parties that distribute cash and gifts to secure votes, asserting that such practices demonstrate a fundamental disregard for both the country's welfare and the future of its citizens.
Direct Criticism of DMK, AIADMK, and TVK's Manifesto Promises
During his campaign stop in Mayiladuthurai on Thursday, Seeman specifically targeted Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) for aligning with established parties like the DMK and AIADMK in announcing numerous freebies within their election manifestos. "For these parties, only your vote matters, not your genuine progress," Seeman declared. "Any political entity that focuses exclusively on vote acquisition will never prioritize the nation's long-term interests."
He elaborated that individuals who allegedly loot lakhs of crores from the country only to redistribute money during election seasons are essentially purchasing the self-respect of the electorate. "It is deeply concerning that the government appears more invested in protecting liquor shops than in safeguarding the livelihoods and dignity of ordinary people," Seeman added, highlighting what he perceives as misplaced priorities.
NTK's Rising Political Trajectory and Alternative Vision
Seeman took the opportunity to underscore the significant growth of the Naam Tamilar Katchi since its inception. He noted that in its first electoral contest, the party secured approximately 4.5 lakh votes. This figure reportedly surged to 18 lakh votes in subsequent elections and further climbed to an impressive 30 lakh votes more recently.
"The people of Tamil Nadu have now clearly recognized NTK as the third largest political force in the state and a formidable alternative to both the DMK and AIADMK," Seeman stated confidently. He emphasized that this growth reflects public disillusionment with traditional politics and a search for more principled leadership.
Campaign in Nagapattinam Reinforces Anti-Freebie Stance
Continuing his campaign in Nagapattinam, Seeman reiterated his criticism of political parties that deceive voters with monetary inducements and extravagant freebies. "We categorically reject a brand of politics that seeks to enslave people through the distribution of free goods and services," he asserted, positioning NTK against what he describes as a corrupt electoral practice.
Seeman also directed pointed remarks at TVK for incorporating free schemes into its manifesto, drawing parallels with the DMK and AIADMK. "Similar to these established parties, TVK is now announcing a plethora of free schemes. However, I make a different promise: not only will we provide essential services like education, healthcare, and drinking water free of cost, but we will also guarantee that everything is delivered with uncompromising quality and integrity," he proclaimed, outlining NTK's distinct approach to governance.
This series of statements from Seeman highlights the intensifying political discourse in Tamil Nadu, focusing on ethical campaigning, voter dignity, and the substantive development of the state beyond short-term electoral gains.
