A heartwarming moment unfolded at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore when two young schoolgirls managed to capture the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with their thoughtfully crafted handwritten banners. The incident took place during the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025 on Wednesday.
A Personal Invitation From The Prime Minister
The students, identified as Sringa and Mithra, were holding up their messages for the Prime Minister to see. Sringa's banner expressed a powerful economic vision, reading, "I will graduate in a Rank 2 economy, and I will retire in a Rank 1 economy. Thanks to your vision." Mithra's banner carried a political undertone, stating, "Lotus will bloom in Tamil Nadu by the time we vote," a reference to the BJP's election symbol. Visibly pleased by their initiative, PM Modi did not just acknowledge them from a distance; he personally invited the two students to come forward and hand over their banners to him directly.
Friendly Chat With Young Minds
Following this special encounter, the Prime Minister continued his engagement with a group of school students present at the event. The interaction was described as warm and informal. M Kanishka, a Class IX student from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, shared her experience, saying the Prime Minister interacted with them like a friend. "He discussed startups and explained how he is managing his work schedule and everything. For the first time, I met him in person at the interaction, and it was a great opportunity for us," Kanishka remarked.
Another student from the same school, S Kaviya Sri, who is in Class XI, added that PM Modi offered valuable advice on a common student dilemma. The Prime Minister explained to them how they should effectively balance their academic responsibilities with other co-curricular activities, a piece of guidance that resonated deeply with the young audience.
Summit Focuses on Sustainable Future
The event that served as the backdrop for this exchange, the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025, is a significant platform dedicated to promoting natural and sustainable agricultural practices. The presence of the Prime Minister underscored the national importance of this green initiative. The spontaneous interaction with the schoolchildren highlighted the government's focus on connecting with the youth, who are seen as the key drivers of India's future economic and political landscape.
