Prateek Yadav Announces Divorce Plans, Accuses Wife of Family Strife

Prateek Yadav, the son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, made serious allegations against his wife on Monday. He accused BJP leader Aparna Bisht Yadav of damaging his family relationships. Prateek stated he will soon approach the court to file for divorce.

Instagram Post Reveals Deep Rift

Prateek Yadav shared a lengthy post on his verified Instagram account. He described Aparna as a "family destroyer" in the post. He accused her of being self-centered and overly focused on gaining fame and influence.

"I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible," Prateek wrote. "She ruined my family ties. All she wants is to become famous and influential."

He added details about his current mental state. "Right now, I am in a very bad mental health condition and she doesn't bother because it's only herself she bothers about," Prateek explained. He concluded with strong words, writing, "I have never seen such a bad soul, and I was unfortunate to get married to her."

Background of the Couple

Prateek Yadav is the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav's second wife, Sadhna Yadav. His stepbrother Akhilesh Yadav leads the Samajwadi Party and previously served as Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister.

Prateek and Aparna married in 2011. Their wedding ceremony took place in Saifai village, Etawah district. The event was grand and attracted significant attention.

Aparna Yadav's Political Journey

Aparna Yadav currently holds the position of vice chairperson for the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women. She received this appointment in September 2024.

Her political career includes several notable moments:

  • She contested the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections from Lucknow Cantt on a Samajwadi Party ticket.
  • She lost that election to Congress candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi.
  • She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in March 2022.
  • She actively campaigned for the BJP after joining the party.

Political Silence on the Matter

Neither the Samajwadi Party nor the Bharatiya Janata Party has issued any official statement regarding these allegations. The Press Trust of India reported this development without additional commentary from the political organizations.

The situation remains developing as Prateek Yadav prepares his legal case. Family dynamics and political affiliations create a complex backdrop for this personal dispute going public.
