A Patna-bound IndiGo flight from Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing at Lucknow airport on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions. The aircraft, carrying 176 passengers and six crew members, landed safely at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport around 3:30 pm.
Flight Diverted Due to Poor Visibility
The flight, operating as IndiGo 6E-123, departed from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport but encountered severe weather near Patna. Low visibility and strong crosswinds made landing at Patna impossible, prompting the pilot to divert to Lucknow.
Passengers Safe, Arrangements Made
Airport officials confirmed that all passengers and crew are safe. IndiGo arranged for refreshments and alternative travel arrangements. The flight resumed its journey to Patna after the weather improved.
This incident highlights the challenges aviation faces during unpredictable weather patterns. Passengers praised the crew's professionalism, ensuring safety throughout the ordeal.
