Rourkela: In a decisive step against the illegal drug trade under the 'Nasha Mukt Odisha Drive', Rourkela police on Monday demolished six houses allegedly linked to individuals involved in multiple pending criminal cases, including drug trafficking, in Meena Pada.
Joint Eviction and Demolition Drive
According to a press release issued by Rourkela police on Monday, a joint eviction and demolition drive was carried out at Meena Pada under Plantsite police station by the police and local administration. The area has long been identified as a sensitive zone with repeated allegations of illegal drug trade and anti-social activities, raising serious concerns about public safety and law and order.
Supervision and Commitment
Senior police and administrative officers supervised the operation on the spot to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incident.
