Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Accuses DMK of Betraying Women and Perpetuating Family Rule

During a high-energy campaign rally in Rasipuram, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched a scathing attack on the ruling DMK party, accusing it of betraying women and perpetuating a dynastic family rule. The event was organized to bolster support for BJP candidate Premkumar in the upcoming elections.

Allegations of Blocking Women's Reservation Bill

Yadav specifically targeted the DMK–Congress alliance for allegedly blocking the Women’s Reservation Bill, which aims to reserve seats for women in legislative bodies. He characterized this opposition as a profound betrayal of ordinary women across India who aspire to enter public life and politics.

"They do not want women from simple families to rise in public life," Yadav declared to the gathered crowd. "This is not just political maneuvering; it is a deliberate attempt to keep power concentrated within elite circles."

Criticism of Governance and Law-and-Order

Beyond the women's reservation issue, the Chief Minister leveled serious accusations regarding the state's governance under the current administration. He claimed that corruption has become rampant and law-and-order problems have significantly worsened during their tenure.

"The people of Tamil Nadu deserve better," he asserted. "Basic amenities like reliable drinking water and consistent electricity supply are being neglected in places like Rasipuram. This failure reflects a broader pattern of administrative incompetence."

Highlighting Central Government Initiatives

In contrast to his criticism of the state government, Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives aimed at promoting Tamil language and culture. He emphasized efforts to incorporate the Tamil language into national education curricula and competitive examinations, viewing this as a significant step toward cultural recognition.

Furthermore, he highlighted the installation of the historic "sengol" in the new parliament building as a mark of deep respect for Tamil heritage and traditions, symbolizing the central government's commitment to honoring India's diverse cultural legacy.

Call to Action for Voters

Concluding his speech with a rallying cry, Yadav urged the electorate to vote for change and actively work toward ensuring a new political direction. "You must vote for change and work hard to ensure it," he told the enthusiastic gathering, framing the upcoming election as a critical juncture for the region's development and progress.

The campaign event underscored the BJP's strategic focus on key issues like women's empowerment, governance, and cultural pride as it seeks to make inroads in Tamil Nadu's political landscape.
