Modi Lauds Manipur Youth in Mann Ki Baat 2025 Finale

In the concluding episode of his monthly radio address for the year 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned the spotlight on the remarkable achievements of young change-makers from Manipur. The final Mann Ki Baat broadcast of 2025 celebrated the innovative spirit and social commitment of individuals working at the grassroots level to transform their communities.

Grassroots Innovators Earn Prime Ministerial Praise

Prime Minister Modi specifically commended three young achievers for their impactful work. He lauded Moirangthem Seth for his pioneering solar power initiative, which has successfully brought clean energy to remote households. This project has significantly improved living conditions in areas with limited access to conventional power. "Where there is will, there is a way," the Prime Minister remarked, applauding Seth's perseverance and dedication to community development through renewable energy solutions.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the contributions of Margret Ramtharsiem from Churachandpur district. He noted that her broad vision for Manipur's traditional handicrafts, including items made from bamboo and wood, transformed her from a handicraft artist into a catalyst for changing lives. Her work has provided economic opportunities and preserved cultural heritage.

Similarly, Chokhone Kricheina from Senapati district was praised for her passion for floriculture. Modi highlighted how she has connected with various markets, empowering local communities in her area. "This exemplifies the fact that when traditional knowledge is leveraged with a modern vision, it can become a major vehicle for economic progress," the Prime Minister stated.

Local Gathering and Political Reactions

The broadcast was collectively listened to at the residence of BJP MLA from Thongju, Th. Biswajit Singh, in Imphal East district. The event was attended by several senior BJP leaders, including BJP Manipur president A. Sharda Devi, along with a large gathering of party workers and supporters. Moirangthem Seth joined the radio programme live from Lok Bhavan, accompanied by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla.

Following the broadcast, a reception was hosted at MLA Th. Biswajit Singh's residence, allowing party leaders and legislators to interact and discuss the achievements highlighted by the PM.

Leaders Hail Modi's Outreach to Manipur

Reacting to the Prime Minister's remarks, BJP MLA Thangjam Arunkumar said the episode clearly demonstrated PM Modi's love and concern for all communities in the state. He expressed confidence that this recognition would motivate many more youths towards innovation for positive social change.

Another BJP MLA, Yumnam Khemchand, appreciated the Mann Ki Baat programme for giving significant importance to Manipur. He thanked Modi for recognising the hard work of the peace-loving people of Manipur and expressed hope that the Prime Minister would continue to support the state in its quest for peace and progress. Khemchand also appealed to all 36 communities residing in the state to join hands in building the PM's vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and help bring peace by removing all barriers.

The episode underscored the central government's focus on acknowledging and encouraging grassroots innovation, particularly from the northeastern region, as a key driver for sustainable development and national progress.
