The mortal remains of the martyr reached his ancestral village on Saturday morning, following a delay caused by adverse weather conditions on Friday. The inclement weather had prevented the Army from transporting the body promptly, adding to the family's anguish. As soon as the Army contingent arrived in Sherpur village with the tricolour-wrapped coffin, the entire community was enveloped in profound grief. Scenes of mourning unfolded as family members, especially the martyr's mother and wife, broke down inconsolably, struggling to come to terms with the sudden and tragic loss.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, he said the government stands firmly with them in this difficult time. "Sudhir's family is our family. The loss of a father for a seven-year-old child who is yet to understand the ways of the world is immeasurable," he said, praying for strength for the family to overcome the tragedy.
