The Karnataka Lokayukta conducted raids on eight government officials on Wednesday, seizing assets including jewellery and cash valued at a total of Rs 31 crore. The raids were carried out across multiple locations in the state, targeting officials from various departments suspected of amassing wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.
Details of the Raids
The operation, which began early in the morning, involved simultaneous searches at the residences and offices of the accused officials. According to Lokayukta sources, the seized items include gold and diamond jewellery worth approximately Rs 18 crore, cash amounting to Rs 8 crore, and other assets such as property documents and vehicles valued at Rs 5 crore.
Officials Under Investigation
