India Can Become New Anchor of Stability: RSS Chief

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday asserted that India has the potential to become the new anchor of stability in a world that is increasingly fracturing. Speaking at an event in Bengaluru, Bhagwat emphasized that India's ancient cultural and spiritual values can guide the global community toward peace and harmony.

India's Unique Role

Bhagwat stated that while the world is witnessing conflicts and instability, India's civilizational ethos of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family) positions it uniquely. He argued that India's strength lies not in military might or economic power alone but in its spiritual heritage and inclusive worldview.

Challenges and Opportunities

The RSS chief acknowledged that India faces internal challenges such as poverty and inequality but expressed confidence that the nation's youth and cultural roots can overcome these hurdles. He called for a collective effort to preserve and promote Indian traditions while embracing modernity.

Bhagwat also criticized the materialistic approach of the West, suggesting that it has led to environmental degradation and social alienation. In contrast, he said, India's holistic approach to life can offer sustainable solutions to global problems.

Call for Unity

He urged Indians to rise above caste, creed, and regional differences to build a strong and united nation. "Only when we are united can we fulfill our responsibility to the world," Bhagwat said. He also stressed the importance of self-reliance and swadeshi (indigenous) practices in achieving this goal.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including prominent thinkers and social activists. Bhagwat's remarks come at a time when India is assuming the presidency of the G20 and playing a larger role in global forums.

In conclusion, the RSS chief reiterated that India's destiny is intertwined with the world's well-being, and by staying true to its core values, the country can emerge as a beacon of hope and stability.
