In a swift response to a viral social media appeal, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel HD Kumaraswamy visited Hullahalli village near Nanjangud in Mysuru district on Friday. Upon arrival, the minister visited the family's rented house to personally assess their situation and offer support. Pooja's family has been grappling with significant financial hardship, exacerbated by her medical condition. Her husband, Ravi, is unable to work due to injuries sustained in a bus accident involving the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). To cover mounting medical expenses, the family has reportedly sold their house and agricultural land, leaving them in a precarious position.

During his visit, Kumaraswamy consoled the family and assured them of immediate assistance. He took proactive steps by speaking to the KSRTC managing director, urging that compensation related to Ravi's accident be expedited through a Lok Adalat settlement.
