Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Marks 56th Birthday with Public Engagements in Panchkula
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini celebrated his 56th birthday on Sunday by engaging in a series of public activities across Panchkula, focusing on community welfare and development initiatives. The day was marked by visits to social institutions, participation in a national radio programme, and significant financial distributions to support cow protection efforts in the district.
Morning Visits to Shishu Grih and Old-Age Home
The chief minister commenced his birthday celebrations with a visit to a Shishu Grih in Panchkula, where he spent time interacting with the children and distributed sweets to spread joy. Following this, he proceeded to an old-age home, meeting with senior citizens and extending his greetings, emphasizing the importance of caring for the elderly in society.
Participation in 'Mann Ki Baat' at Samral Village
Later, Saini traveled to Samral village (Bhoj Naita) in Panchkula district, where he joined villagers to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme, 'Mann Ki Baat'. This engagement highlighted his commitment to connecting with rural communities and aligning with national initiatives.
Distribution of Fodder Grants to Gaushalas
At a function held at Mata Mansa Devi Gaudham, the chief minister distributed cheques totaling Rs 1.22 crore as fodder grants to 14 gaushalas in the district. This financial support aims to enhance the welfare of cows and strengthen the infrastructure of these shelters.
On this occasion, Saini also announced a grant of Rs 20 lakh for the strengthening and renovation of the unpaved road leading to the ancient Shiva temple located on Saketari Hill, facilitating better access for devotees and promoting local heritage.
Government Initiatives for Cow Protection and Natural Farming
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saini outlined the state government's efforts in developing gaushalas, protecting cows, and promoting natural farming. He revealed that registered gaushalas in Haryana have received approximately Rs 270 crore in fodder grants over the past 11 years, underscoring the sustained commitment to this cause.
Furthermore, he highlighted ongoing initiatives to conserve and promote indigenous cow breeds, referencing programmes such as the National Gokul Mission. These efforts align with broader goals of agricultural sustainability and cultural preservation in the region.
