A 30-year-old DJ operator was arrested on Monday for allegedly striking his friend on the head with a brick following a heated argument, resulting in the victim's death in Haridwar, police reported.

Details of the Incident

The accused, identified as Saurabh Kori, got into a spat with Deepak Saxena, 30, which escalated into violence. Kori allegedly hit Saxena with a brick, causing critical injuries. Saxena was rushed to a hospital on Thursday in critical condition and later transferred to a higher medical facility, where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

Station House Officer (City) K.S. Rana stated, “A case has been registered against Saurabh Kori under BNS section 105, which pertains to culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Further investigation is underway.”

Second Murder in Atmalpur Village

In a separate incident, the body of a 35-year-old man was discovered in Atmalpur village under the Bahadrabad police station limits on Monday morning. The deceased, Rajveer Singh, a resident of Bijnor, was employed at a private company in SIDCUL and was residing in the area. Police reported that his skull was crushed with a hammer. The murder weapon and several liquor bottles were recovered from the crime scene.

Authorities are investigating both cases and have assured that further details will be shared as the inquiries progress.
