Locals reported that the ladder of the hydraulic crane, which was the first to arrive at the scene, malfunctioned during the rescue efforts. Compounding the tragedy, a second crane took nearly an hour to reach the location, significantly delaying the rescue operation and potentially costing lives.
Witnesses asserted that if the first hydraulic crane had functioned properly, it could have facilitated a quicker response and saved lives.
