Education Sector Receives Major Boost

She stated, "We want every school to have smart classrooms, digital libraries, and computer labs. We are working towards it." Additionally, the implementation of the Delhi School Education Act 2025 aims to protect parents from arbitrary fee hikes, and Rs 1,300 crore has been earmarked to develop Narela as an education hub, showcasing a comprehensive approach to enhancing learning environments.
Health Initiatives and Digital Transformation
Gupta highlighted achievements in the health sector, listing it as a top priority. She noted that the government is digitalising the health system, with Delhi hospitals offering online appointments. Since the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health scheme in Delhi, over 6.5 lakh persons have been registered, and more than 20,000 have benefited. Furthermore, more than 300 Aayushman Arogya Mandirs have been opened, demonstrating efforts to improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency.
Welfare and Infrastructure Developments
The Chief Minister also detailed welfare measures, including the opening of 50 Atal Canteens, where poor people can access nutritious and respectful food. Currently, more than 50,000 people eat at these canteens daily, with a goal to increase this to 1 lakh daily. In terms of infrastructure, the government aims to strengthen public transport by adding 11,000 e-buses over the next three years and expanding the metro rail network from 396 km to 500 km. Additionally, Rs 700 crore has been allocated for developmental works in Delhi's slum clusters, reflecting a focus on urban improvement and social equity.
