The Congress party on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of disregarding the hardships faced by ordinary Indians and reducing their concerns to mere election gimmicks. In a statement, Congress leader K C Venugopal said that the ruling party's concern for the common citizen is only evident during poll campaigns.
Congress questions government's preparedness
The opposition party also pointed out that the government has failed to formulate a concrete plan to protect ordinary Indians from the economic and geopolitical repercussions of the Iran war, which began three months ago. Venugopal stressed that the administration should have used this time to devise a robust strategy to shield citizens from rising prices and instability.
Congress further alleged that the BJP's focus remains on electoral gains rather than addressing the real issues affecting the populace. The party urged the government to prioritize the welfare of the people over political maneuvering.
