CJP Protest at Jantar Mantar Enters Day 2, Demands Education Minister's Resignation Over NEET
CJP Jantar Mantar Protest Day 2: Demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

Protest Continues Despite Police Requests

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi entered its second day on Sunday, with founder Abhijeet Dipke and supporters maintaining their demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over issues related to the NEET examination. The demonstration proceeded even as Delhi Police reportedly asked protesters to vacate the site.

Dipke Extends Best Wishes to NEET Aspirants

In a series of statements and social media posts, Abhijeet Dipke extended his best wishes to all NEET re-exam aspirants and urged them to focus on their examinations. He invited students to join the protest at Jantar Mantar after their exams concluded. "Best of luck to all NEET re-exam aspirants. Our best wishes are with you. Join us at Jantar Mantar after your exam ends," Dipke said.

Appeal for Unrestricted Access and Basic Amenities

Dipke also urged authorities not to restrict access to the protest site, claiming that demonstrators were peacefully seeking justice for students affected by the NEET controversy. "We are not doing anything wrong. We are just seeking justice for the students who committed suicide," he said. He further alleged that water supply to public restrooms at the site had been cut off since Saturday night and appealed for its restoration. "I request the authorities not to cut off the water supply to the restrooms at the Jantar Mantar protest site. Since last night, there has been no water supply at the public restrooms," he added.

CJP Claims Growing Momentum Against Education Minister

In another message, the CJP founder claimed that the campaign against the education minister had gained momentum and called on supporters to gather at Jantar Mantar. The outfit criticized Pradhan in social media posts, alleging that student concerns were being ignored while protesters faced difficulties at the demonstration site. The party reiterated its demand for the minister's resignation.

Context of the Protest

The protest is being held amid ongoing debates and political criticism surrounding the conduct of the NEET examination and related issues. The CJP, a fringe political party, has been vocal in its opposition to the handling of the exam, which has seen controversies including alleged paper leaks and student suicides.
