Shivamogga: A group of youths attacked two brothers with weapons in Tippu Nagar here Tuesday evening, leaving them injured. The victims have been identified as Rahamat Ullah, a car dealer, and his brother Nayamat Ullah. Police confirmed that both sustained injuries in the assault.
Details of the Incident
The attack took place around evening time in the Tippu Nagar locality. According to police, Rahamat Ullah suffered a stab wound near his right shoulder, while Nayamat Ullah sustained injuries to his left hand. The duo was immediately rushed to McGann Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Medical officials have stated that their condition is stable.
Victim's Account
Recounting the incident, Rahamat Ullah said, "My daughter called me on the phone and informed me that some people were creating a ruckus near our house. I immediately rushed to the spot along with my brother. When we questioned them as to why they were fighting near our house, a group of about eight to nine youths suddenly launched an attack on us. The youths belong to Tippu Nagar."
Police Response
Police from Tunga Nagar police station visited the spot after receiving information about the incident. They have launched a probe into the matter. Shivamogga Superintendent of Police (SP) B Nikhil stated that Tunga Nagar police have registered a complaint based on the victims' statement, and an investigation is underway. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the accused.
